Last week was Andrew's first full week of work. He says that work is going well and he's starting to get the hang of things. Right now he is one of two drivers and today he found out that the other driver put in his notice. So Andrew will be the only driver until they hire someone to take the other position. We are hoping that he'll get a bit of overtime in the overlap.
The kids and I are staying busy at home while Andrew's at work. I'm starting a bit of intentional "learning time" with Sydney to see how she's doing with numbers, letters, colors, etc. It's fun to watch her take it all in. She's so proud of herself when she gets the flash cards right. We have also started playing the 'Yes, Mommy' game. It's part of a practical teaching in our parenting class. It starts out as a game and then shifts to an expectation once they get how it works. I'm assuming the game will continue for a week or so (basically as long as it takes for them to catch on). We're anxious to see how it works. Aaron is following in his big sister's footsteps all day. He has the most fun dressing up with her and singing on top of there little table and even dances too. They bring me so much joy!
We just got the dates that school is starting which is around August 15. A little sooner than what we originally had planned but that's fine. Since finding out the dates of school and not knowing once school starts when we'd be able to get home again to visit, we decided that me and the kids will come back sometime this summer! Unfortunately Andrew doesn't even start accruing time off for 6 months so he won't be able to come with us:( He's not real excited about that but is having an incredible attitude about his new job. We continue to ask for your prayer support during this time. We'd also be honored to pray for you as well. Please let us know if you have any prayer requests. Blessings! ~Susan
