Watching and Waiting, First Fruits

It's growing!

First tomato

Strawberries

Zucchini Squash
It's been a couple months but we are seeing growth!!

It's been fun to experience the garden through the eyes of the kids.  They go out to water the garden (part of their chores) every other day and sit there for awhile watching and waiting for something to happen.  Then one day, when they went out to water it finally happened...they were so excited at the slightest sign of new life.  And the day of the first strawberry...oh, the joy in the Bisson household!

There is so much to be gained from children about what the Kingdom of God is really like.  Planting, watering, eagerly watching and awaiting in anticipation for the new life that God brings and one day experiencing the excitement of the harvest!

I'm continually challenged to see the world through their little eyes to know His heart even more.

"Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few.
So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest."
Matthew 9:37-38
