Camping: Over Labor Day weekend the best Dad ever had the best idea ever!! Indoor Camping. He went to work immediately and pulled out all the stops:) Hot coco, roasting mallows over the stove, telling stories and playing hide and go seek in the dark. Here are some shots to help you picture this unforgettable family fun night!
Home school: Sydney has been in home school now for 1 week. We are loving learning together and Aaron can't wait for 'school' to start each morning too. Challenging? Absolutely! But we are figuring it out together. For example, the first day, Mommy forgot to have "break time or recess or snack" and we ended up having lots of tears. Lesson learned. Wow, so important to schedule in short breaks and snacks. Amateur mistake. Can't wait to week number two though!
Work: Andrew is working part-time for a friend painting most days and one day a week working on his parent's hog farm. We are so blessed to have him working while we figure out what he's supposed to do full-time here in Sioux Falls. We are so thankful for the flexibility and gracious friends and family.
Hosting: The last couple weeks we have been having friends over and going to friends for supper. It's been so wonderful to get to know people over a meal. We LOVE having people to our home and I really enjoy cooking and baking so it's a fun expression of gifts for us. This past weekend we were able to share a couple days with my brother Matt (from Minnesota) and his wife Katie and their daughter Eliana. Short but sweet:)
Coming Up: Andrew and I are super excited that we get the privilege of going to World Mandate 2012 in Waco, Texas next weekend!!! Find out more about World Mandate here. We are so excited to be re-united with so many friends down there. It was some what of a last minute decision but we are so blessed to be able to go! I'm sure there will be more to post after that weekend!
You? We'd love to hear the latest on you too. How your family is, what you've done this summer, where you have been or how we can pray for you. Drop us a line anytime.
Blessings!
