Prayer Rally

Well, last night was a Prayer Rally at church. The Prayer Rally ended a 3 day corporate fast as a church. Since I am an inexperienced faster my fast was a little lighter but overall a good experience. I am learning that fasting is so much more than just not eating. Fasting is a way to make more space for God, bringing intimacy and confidence making tough decisions. So last night we all came together for a time of celebrating and prayer. It was kind of like a mini World Mandate (for those of you who have been know what I mean). World Mandate was filled with worship and times of interceding for different people groups. They did have childcare last night for the kids but towards the end we brought in Sydney to pray and worship with us. She enjoyed worship and raised her little hands high:) Andrew began to ask her what she wanted to pray for and she started naming people who she wanted Jesus to heal. Wow! It was a great reminder that Jesus speaks to and though our children too! Just a passage to leave you with that has really been speaking to our hearts.

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Romans 8:26 & 27
